How is a managed service for fuel buyers different from just having my supplier or carrier manage my inventory?
As a managed service, FuelHub has the same interests as you the customer: optimizing savings on fuel spend. A supplier’s interest is on maximizing volume and margin while a carrier wants trucks making as many deliveries as possible. Without a managed service or spending the equivalent to setup an internal fuel team, it is a certainty you will pay more for fuel than you should be.
Do you sell fuel or own trucks?
No
Does FuelHub only help fleets or commercial and industrial customers?
Our managed service solutions will save any bulk buyer customer profile money if they are lacking internal fuel expertise, software, data, or processes.
How much does FuelHub charge for its services?
We charge a small portion of the savings we capture for our customers. If we cannot save you money, we will tell you up front, before we start doing business together.
Do you offer your services a-la-carte?
Yes, though bundling our services together will result in the optimal savings scenario, we do offer most of our services a-la-carte.
Do I have to pay for expensive software subscriptions to implement FuelHub’s solutions?
No; our software comes with our service
Isn’t Pay-Term Optimization (PTO) the same as factoring?
No; U.S. Bank is not buying receivables, which is what factoring is. Additionally, invoices are always paid 100% and PTO program fees are dramatically less than factoring fees. PTO program fees are usually paid for by the fuel buyer, however fees can be paid by the supplier or split between both.
I am a government or fleet buyer that is already receiving pay-terms of 30 days or longer with my suppliers, why do I need Pay-Term Optimization (PTO)?
This means you are already paying far too much for non-standard industry terms with your suppliers. We will save you 2-5 cents with PTO with those same suppliers. The reason is because anytime you pay a supplier beyond Net10, you will 100% of the time be paying a premium for those non-standard terms unless you are using PTO.
We want to use FuelHub’s solutions, but how will we keep tabs on whats going on with our
fuel program?
We offer a suite of dashboards and reports on our platform that enable real time awareness and transparency to our customers.
